Film Removal

Common issues with cheaper films include, bubbling, discoloration to purple or orange, peeling, visual blurry haze, or just general fading over time. We charge between $30 and $120 for film removal, it all depends on how long/hard the removal process is. It’s impossible for us to give an accurate quote until after we start the removal process. This is because the the different types of adhesives used for the different brands of film, some come right off and others are like scraping cement off the back window.

Rear Window

Most back windows are very similar, they all require shrinking which is the process of using a heat gun or torch to shrink the film to the shape of the window. This is done on the outside of the vehicle and then cut to fit and installed onto the inside of the window. Having the back window tinted cost $100 for Carbon Film and $180 for Ceramic Film.

Sun Roof

So there is a lot of debate whether or not to have the sunroof tinted, some claim it will shatter the sun roof because the sunroof is treated for UV rejection in some matter from the factory. I personally have not had that experience and I have tinted many sunroofs with 90% ceramic films all the down to a 5% dye (carbon) films and so far non of them have shattered. With that said, we let our customer decide if they want it done or not. Sun roofs are not included in the general pricing. We price them out per job because not all of them are easy accessible and they vary in size.
